Act on the Energy Performance of Buildings and on Amendments to Certain Acts
Very soon, the Act on the Energy Performance of Buildings and on Amendments to Certain Acts will be amended and updated. Let us recall what has been said about electromobility in Slovakia under this law.
According to the current law, new non-residential buildings and significantly renovated existing non-residential buildings with more than ten parking spaces must have at least one charging station for electric vehicles and the relevant infrastructure.
Under current legislation, new non-residential buildings and substantially renovated buildings with more than 10 parking spaces must be equipped with at least one charging station for electric vehicles with appropriate infrastructure.
The requirements do not apply:
(a) Buildings for which an application for planning permission or an application for planning permission to alter the building is made before 10 March 2021,
(b) for significantly refurbished existing buildings where the cost of charging stations and line infrastructure exceeds 7% of the total cost of the significant refurbishment of the building.
Each non-residential building with more than 20 parking spaces must have at least one electric vehicle charging station as of January 1, 2025.
