A new electric car is coming to the Slovak market!
Ssangyong is a South Korean carmaker that’s hitting the scene with the new Ssangyong Torres EVX. The brand’s first EV was the Korando e-Motion, introduced in 2021, which offered a 61.5 kWh battery pack and a WLTP range of 339 km. Although it was also available as a pure EV in Europe, it was only available with an internal combustion engine in Slovakia.
The Ssangyong Torres EVX becomes the automaker’s first pure EV sold in Slovakia. The electric SUV will be available with one type of powertrain and two trim levels. Power is provided by an electric motor with 152 kW (207 hp) and 339 Nm (339 lb-ft) of torque, which drives the front wheels.
The Ssangyong Torres EVX’s battery is made by Chinese company BYD, has a capacity of 73.4 kWh and provides a range of up to 462 kilometres on the WLTP combined cycle. It charges from 10 to 80 percent in 37 minutes on a 300-kilowatt fast charger. The manufacturer warrants the high-voltage traction battery for up to 10 years or 1,000,000 kilometres, guaranteeing at least 70% of its capacity.
